Vespertine: Artemisia/The Revenant, Gabrielle/Sarathiel

I adore this book and particularly the relationship that develops between Artemisia and her Revenant, but the brief glimpse we got of Gabrielle with Sarathiel was also deeply intriguing to me. And while I didn’t request a specific relationship, I’m fine with Leander also playing a role in both relationships – in fact, feel free to be a bit more flexible about the timeline: I’m fine with fic being set after the main story, but I’m equally here for stretching out the timeline of his more antagonistic relationship with Artemisia or his suspicion of Gabrielle.

Vespertine likes: fic focused on exploration, artefacts, lore, trust being tested, the joys of body-sharing

Prompts: Artemisia/The Revenant
• Huddling for warmth: Artemisia and the Revenant encounter a powerful Frostfain while hiding/exploring old ruins
• Artemisia and the Revenant explore Chantclère together. Either secretly as a canon-divergence where their adventures led them there while hiding from Leander, or post-canon, where presumably they’d be invited to stay there, and Artemisia wants to take a break from “official” business.
• Circumstances require an old magic ritual. Artemisia trusts the Revenant, but she’s still pretty wary. Maybe Leander has to be involved somehow, complicating things?
• An artefact temporarily forces the Revenant to return to the relic. Or perhaps Artemisia is trapped with it this time?
• In her dreams, Artemisia encounters the Revenant in its true form.

Prompts: Gabrielle/Sarathiel
• What happened when they first encountered each other?
• Same as above, but with smut: Gabrielle has a very ecstatic experience at the altar.
• Missing scene: Sarathiel comforts a conflicted Gabrielle while they try to figure out their next steps, after Artemisia is locked away in the tower.
• I’m also interested in Gabrielle’s side of the cat and mouse game with Leander.

Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy Trilogy: Thrawn/Thrass

I fell in love with this ship the very instant Thrass appeared on the page in Lesser Evil. He provides such a great contrast to Thrawn and draws out a very different side of him, and it recontexualises a lot about what we saw of Thrawn in the first book of this trilogy.

Note: I have read the 2017 Thrawn Trilogy, but I’m not familiar with Legends!Thrawn or his relationship with Thrass there.

Star Wars likes: Chiss family politics, secrets, mysterious artefacts, planetary exploration, competency kink, taboo relationships

Prompts:
• Huddling for warmth: A planetary exploration gone wrong, a trap that was set by pirates, just a technical malfunction on a ship/or while travelling across Csilla? As for when it happens, maybe just shortly after they reconnected? Or perhaps shortly after Thrass declared they were brothers, while Thrawn is still dealing with insecurity about it?
• Taboos: Thrawn and Thrass navigate a forbidden relationship. Thurfian is onto them (though preferably, he never actually finds out one way or another or actually gets them in trouble.) He just makes their encounters just a little riskier.
• Remember when Thrass offered to take Thrawn on a guided tour? They finally find the time to do it.
• Thrawn suffers from hanahaki disease after Thrass dies. It’s not lethal, but it is a steady reminder of his loss.

The Magnus Archives: Jon/Elias

One of my favourite things about this ship is the variety it offers. Every season has something new in store for them and changes the context of the previous ones. And there are so many aspects of their relationship that I love seeing explored at different points in canon or AUs. But a constant I always enjoy is Elias seducing Jon to the dark side, whether overtly or subtly, and Jon finding himself conflicted but also deeply intrigued. The connection Beholding gives them is a particular draw for me – power explorations, tingliness, a mutual understanding on a deeper level. I have a slight preference for Jonah!Elias being referred to as Elias in fic rather than Jonah, but if it works better for the specific story, Jonah is fine too.

I’m completely fine with nebulous timelines of any sort and tweaking of events, especially in season 3 and 4. (Example: A season 4 AU where Elias is still running the Institute and not in jail for whatever reason or no reason at all, but the Unknowing has happened, Jon has been in a coma, Peter is around, etc.) I’m also open to different portrayals of the apocalypse.

TMA likes: mysteries, casefic (particularly involving cursed books or objects, supernatural coldness, nightmares, haunted houses, creepiness involving nursery rhymes or fairy tales…), forced proximity, secrets, quiet moments

Prompts:
• Canon divergence, inspired by episode 3: Elias and Jon live across the street from each other. Can be pre-Institute, or perhaps Jon only realises after moving while he works at the Institute. Either way, watching Elias becomes his shameful hobby.
• Season 5 AU: Elias finds Jon who’s completely overwhelmed with agonised bliss by all the fear around him and takes him in, comforts him in his sweet and twisted ways. Elias’s presence helps Jon cling to the remainder of his humanity (and potentially, the reverse is true as well. For a slightly more regretful Elias.)
• A case requires Jon and Elias to travel somewhere together, bringing them closer, perhaps at times a bit involuntarily (only one bed!) Can be set either during early canon or season 3.
Casefic: Are they exploring a mystery together because Elias happens to be involved somehow? Is early-canon!Jon elated that Elias would task him with such an important mission, or later-canon!Jon extremely reluctant but at the same time intrigued and eager for an opportunity to draw some information out of Elias? Are Jon and Elias exploring an unfamiliar domain together during the apocalypse? Or the place where it all began (the original Institute in Edinburgh? Maybe even the Schwarzwald graveyard?) When it comes to casefic, I’m generally interested in themes like
• AU where Jon doesn’t work at the Archives: Elias is simply looking for a Beholding snack, and finds his new Archivist instead. Or alternatively: Jon has a very intense encounter/one-night stand with Elias and is desperate to find out more about him.

Malevolent: Arthur/John, Arthur/Yellow, John/The King in Yellow

I adore the relationship between John and Arthur, and the theme of humanity in both their arcs. But I am also very fond of Yellow and wish there had been more time to see the relationship between him and Arthur develop. And I’m intensely intrigued by what happened to John while he was with the king. So while I’m very happy with John/Arthur being assumed and part of each story, I decided not to choose it specifically since my prompt focus is more on the time they spend separate from each other.

Deus Ex: Adam/Sarif

I ended up falling in love with this relationship immediately. Sarif is such an intriguing character to me, morally grey in a way I find very enjoyable, with a great attitude. Adam is one of my favourite protagonists in video games. I love all the emotional and physical whump thrown his way, the layers of badassery that hide a more vulnerable side. Plus Sarif being one of the people who Adam talks to with his eyeshields off.

The revelation that Booth loved Blaine definitely had me primed for future relationships he might have, and so it’s probably no surprise that the chapter in which Ratcliffe appeared is one of my favourites! I really enjoyed their dynamic, and I thought it was such a nice touch that Ratcliffe not only believed Booth but also actively helped with the case. They made such a great team, and I'd love to see more of that!

Pre-canon/season 1:

• Jon shows first hints of being a capable Archivist, and Elias notices immediately, tries to test him, put him in situations where he has to use his burgeoning powers. And then comforts him sweetly when he does end up barely making it out alive of a dangerous situation (I’m particularly partial to the dangerous situation involving hypothermia, but also very open to other dangers that might befall him!)
• Mild canon divergence: Jon is one of the grad students at the Magnus Institute and catches Elias's eye. Feel very welcome to add some Sugar Daddy vibes (starting slow and innocently with tea, nice stationary, etc. And eventually culminating in expensive lingerie, potentially.) They can also be in a relationship they have to keep secret!
• Jon has a huge crush on Elias that he may or may not be aware of himself and is very eager to impress him and catch his attention. I’m fine with this remaining rather sweet from Jon’s POV (with some conflict about appropriateness etc.) with some underlying menace he isn’t aware of, or Jon ending up throwing himself in dangerous situations to prove himself to Elias.

Season 4:

Jon is so directionless and desperate in this season, and I’d love to see this explored in a variety of ways:

• Rather than going to prison, Elias has disappeared. And Jon grows more and more desperate to find him. Maybe he finds clues in his dreams, or in letters/tapes Elias sends him. Maybe finding him is dangerous.
• Jon continues to manifest tape recorders in Elias’s prison cell, so Elias grants him his wish and begins communicating with him through tapes (I’ll leave it up to you whether Jon can hear Elias while he’s recording or whether they’re essentially pen pals but with tapes). Until one day, Elias sends Jon a tape with some very specific masturbation instructions (maybe lovingly wrapped in a tie that smells like Elias’s cologne).
• Generally, I would also love everything that involves Elias completely enabling his feeding on statements, maybe tempting him with delicious statements he projects straight into his mind and makes him record (potentially while fucking him.)

Season 5:

Episodes 192 and 193 were of course very inspiring and most of my prompts for this season are based on them, with some liberties taken of course regarding the events (and the number of eyes Jon has).

• Sex Reverses Apotheosis: Elias wanted to be all-powerful, Jon wanted to fall into the pupil of the Eye. Together they can have both, but only while they have sex. In particular, it’s only then that Elias can return to himself, and it’s only then that Jon can feel as close as he needs to the Eye. (I’m using sex very broadly, so intercrural, hand jobs, oral, etc. all count.) Given Elias’s state, Jon has full control over when it happens and of course theoretically could choose to walk away, and he feels almost guilty enough to do just that. Almost. Add to that some very complicated love-hate feelings about Elias himself, who of course does not miss an opportunity to use that to his advantage…
While this prompt is generally intended to be on the darker/angstier side, I’d also very much enjoy a “Twisted and Fluffy Feelings” take on it.
• A reversal of the “King Jonah” variety: Elias is the one in full control over the situation, and Jon is so desperate for what only Elias can give him and just throws himself at Elias, no matter how much it wounds his pride, while Elias showers him with taunts and praise to mess with his head. And the humiliation hurts so good. (Optional but very welcome: Elias pierces Jon’s nipples as a mark of ownership.)
• A different kind of reversal: Elias finds Jon who’s completely overwhelmed ~~with agonised bliss~~ by all the fear around him and takes him in, comforts him in his sweet and twisted ways. Elias’s presence helps Jon cling to the remainder of his humanity (and potentially, the reverse is true as well. For a slightly more regretful Elias.)
• Ritual sex (with lovingly ritualised preparation) to worship the Eye together and receive its gifts. Potentially, this is also a kind of initiation ritual for Jon, who only just accepted his fate. With ceremonial defloration!

Any point in canon/AU:

• Casefic: Are they exploring a mystery together because Elias happens to be involved somehow? Is early-canon!Jon elated that Elias would task him with such an important mission, or later-canon!Jon extremely reluctant but at the same time intrigued and eager for an opportunity to draw some information out of Elias? They can be completely normal, they can be significant to the eye somehow; all I want is for Elias and Jon to have a really good time with them. The Magnus Archives: Jon/Elias/Peter

General (TMA): Same as above: I’m completely fine with nebulous timelines of any sort and tweaking of events, especially in season 3 and 4. (Example: A season 4 AU where Elias is still running the Institute and not in jail for whatever reason or no reason at all, but the Unknowing has happened, Jon has been in a coma, Peter is around, etc.)

General (ship): I also love the dimensions Peter adds. Apart from being an avatar for one of my favourite powers, he's also such a delight in every interaction he has. His frenemies dynamic with Elias is great, and there's so much potential for his relationship with Jon. Combining these two opens up so many interesting paths. I enjoy him as a partner in crime for Elias when it comes to seducing Jon, as someone who can offer Jon something rather unique with his Lonely powers while complementing Elias's Beholding powers, or potentially as an antagonistic force just here for his own enjoyment. And anything in-between!

• Elias strategically loses a bet to Peter, which means Peter gets to use him in any way he likes. But he didn't expect that Peter's request would entail Jon watching. I'd love some (potentially conflicted) possessiveness on Jon's part here. Maybe leading to possessive sex. Alternatively, I’d also enjoy a manipulative situation where Jon (and potentially Peter as well) are tricked into believing it’s a noncon situation
• Elias shows off his Archivist to Peter and lets Peter have some fun with him too. (Is he showing off his powers? How pretty he sounds while getting fucked? How well he can handle predicament or honor bondage? How lovely and sensitive his pierced nipples are? All of those? Take your pick!)

Adam/Sarif:
I ended up falling in love with this relationship immediately. Sarif is such an intriguing character to me, morally grey in a way I find very enjoyable, with a great attitude. Adam is one of my favourite protagonists in video games. I love all the emotional and physical whump thrown his way, the layers of badassery that hide a more vulnerable side. Plus Sarif being one of the people who Adam talks to with his eyeshields off.

The revelation that Booth loved Blaine definitely had me primed for future relationships he might have, and so it’s probably no surprise that the chapter in which Ratcliffe appeared is one of my favourites! I really enjoyed their dynamic, and I thought it was such a nice touch that Ratcliffe not only believed Booth but also actively helped with the case. They made such a great team, and I'd love to see more of that!

- Alternatively, I’d be interested in them tackling another case together (or getting involved in another case together by chance.) Kiryuu Touga/Ohtori Akio

Their relationship only really caught my attention during my last rewatch. It was so intriguing to me, how badly Touga tried to get on Akio’s level, and how openly Akio took advantage of his crush on Utena (particularly the episode with the earrings, where Touga also knew what was going on but also couldn’t evade the manipulation.) So it’s probably unsurprising that for this pairing, I like allll the delicious scheming and manipulation.

Some general notes:
- As I mentioned before, cheating and break-ups are completely fine for this.
- With the exception of the voyeurism prompt, I’d prefer sexual content, if featured, to remain vague/metaphorical.
- I didn’t explicitly request Touga/Saionji, but I am perfectly happy with their friendship/relationship being referenced or factoring in in some way.

Revolutionary Girl Utena likes: Mutual manipulation, mind games, power dynamics, fairy tale elements, symbolism, metaphors, evil mentor, Voyeurism - One character masturbates knowing the other one is watching them, unusual fic style (for epistolary fic, I’m definitely making an exception to the first/second person DNW. Other stylistic elements I find intriguing are a shadow play, maybe a duelling song…), mythology, canon-typical crack

Prompts:
- Touga has quite a special relationship with End of the World. I’d love an elaboration on how that happened. How did they meet, how did Touga get his ring, and how did Touga become Akio’s liaison, in a way, to the student council?
- Tying in with that, I would also enjoy epistolary fic featuring correspondence between Touga and Akio. Though it can also just be fic with an epistolary element.
- This may sound a bit cracky but… Akio giving Touga a driving lesson. Sexual metaphor very much intended.
- For the voyeurism tag, I’d love something introspective where Touga watches Akio masturbate (perhaps through binoculars, or maybe it’s a shadow play) while Akio obviously knows that Touga is watching (but does Touga know that he knows, or is he caught off-guard when Akio acknowledges him?
- Touga challenges Akio to an unofficial duel. The duel itself doesn’t necessarily need to be featured, I’m more into the motivations, stakes and mind games involved. Is the victor of the duel truly the victorious one? Or did the loser lose more than they bargained for? And similar to the car prompt albeit less cracky, are they actually duelling or is it all just a sex metaphor? Your pick!

The Magnus Archives

General: Since the canon is on-going, I’m completely fine with nebulous timelines of any sort and tweaking of events. Specifically, whether Elias goes to jail or not, and for how long etc., whether Jon can visit him or not, how easily Elias can leave, what the apocalypse is like, etc. And with regards to the latter, I’m open on all sorts of takes on how the world works now, so please don’t worry about jossing. I’m also perfectly happy with an AU take on the apocalypse. (One change I’d particularly enjoy is adding more whump.)

Jon/Elias

General: One of my favourite things about this ship is the variety it offers. Every season has something new in store for them and changes the context of the previous ones. And there are so many aspects of their relationship that I love seeing explored at different points in canon (or potentially in AU fic.) But a constant I always enjoy is Elias seducing Jon to the dark side, whether overtly or subtly, and Jon finding himself conflicted but also deeply intrigued. The connection Beholding gives them is a particular draw for me - power explorations, tingliness, a mutual understanding on a deeper level.

Season 4:
Jon is so directionless and desperate in this season, and I’d love to see this explored in a variety of ways:
- Does he seek out Elias in prison for some answers or simply for comfort? I would love some exploration of their relationship with the Eye too!
- Does he try to find Elias, who is not in prison after all? Maybe while being subtly guided by him through clues in his dreams?
- Does Elias contact him from prison, sending him statements? (Maybe some sexier ones, too?) After all, he does have tape recorders popping up around him as well, it would be a shame to not put them to good use!
- Generally, I would also love everything that involves Elias completely enabling his feeding on statements, maybe tempting him with delicious statements he projects straight into his mind and makes him record (potentially while fucking him.)

Season 5:
- Elias finds Jon who’s completely overwhelmed (horrified? Overstimulated?) by all the fear around him and takes him in, comforts him in his sweet and twisted ways, treats any injuries he might have sustained, maybe they take a bath together… and maybe Jon has multiple eyes that are very sensitive when Elias touches them?
- Worshipful ritual sex under the open sky, potentially on top of their shared Institute/Panopticon tower.

Any point in canon/AU:
- Elias mentoring Jon in some way. Does it involve Beholding powers and compulsion? Or is it set during an earlier season where it appears to be tied more to statements and artefacts?
- A Leitner Made Them Do It. Or potentially an artefact.
- In a similar vein, I also enjoy casefic. Are they exploring a mystery together because Elias happens to be involved somehow? Is early-canon!Jon elated that Elias would task him with such an important mission, or later-canon!Jon extremely reluctant but at the same time intrigued and eager for an opportunity to draw some information out of Elias? Are Jon and Elias exploring an unfamiliar domain together during the apocalypse? Or the place where it all began (the original Institute in Edinburgh? Maybe even the Schwarzwald graveyard?)
When it comes to casefic, I’m generally interested in themes like cursed books or objects, supernatural coldness, nightmares, haunted houses, creepiness involving nursery rhymes or fairy tales…
- Jon and Elias attend a formal Institute event, or a Lukas family party, or an Artefact auction. A great opportunity for suit kink, clandestine sex, other powers influencing things…
- Elias ~~inspecting the new marks~~ taking care of Jon after he has a run-in with another avatar/power.

Jon/Peter/Elias

General: I also love the dimensions Peter adds. Apart from being an avatar for one of my favourite powers, he's also such a delight in every interaction he has. His frenemies dynamic with Elias is great, and there's so much potential for his relationship with Jon. Combining these two opens up so many interesting paths. I enjoy him as a partner in crime for Elias when it comes to seducing Jon, as someone who can offer Jon something rather unique with his Lonely powers while complementing Elias's Beholding powers, or potentially as an antagonistic force just here for his own enjoyment. And anything in-between!
